Headline: The U.S. team has appeared in eleven FIFA World Cups, including the first in 1930. Often forgotten, but the United States squad did reach the semi-finals, and is the farthest they made it into the competition. They returned in 1934 and 1950, but did not qualify again until 1990. Where apart from the 2018 qualifying "fiasco", they have been a regular in the tournament. They have hosted the World Cup in 1994, where they made it into the Round of 16, and is set to co-host with Canada and Mexico in 2026.
